Morning Servcie - 31st May 2009
Here is the recording of the sermon given at our morning servive on Sunday 31st May.
Gordon Robertson continued our series on the book of Deuteronomy - this week looking at chapter 33. This chapter contains blessings that Moses gave to the tribes of Israel shortly before his death. Gordon compared these to the blessings that Jacob gave to his sons in Genesis 49. He gave out a handout for easier comparison, that can be seen here (page 1 and page 2).
"This is the blessing that Moses the man of God pronounced on the Israelites before his death. He said:
"The LORD came from Sinai
and dawned over them from Seir;
he shone forth from Mount Paran.
He came with myriads of holy ones
from the south, from his mountain slopes.
Surely it is you who love the people;
all the holy ones are in your hand.
At your feet they all bow down,
and from you receive instruction..." -- Deuteronomy 33:1-3 (NIV)
The sermon was approximately 28 minutes. The audio file is about 11MB.
